Why we won't hand-build your checkout.
We build Shopify stores, and we connect your site to the systems you already run. What we won't do is write our own payment code. Here's the reasoning.

We build static sites, and when a client sells products we build the store on Shopify. What we don't do is bolt a hand-rolled cart onto a site. Plenty of services exist for exactly that. We turn that work away.

The argument
Taking payment on the open internet is a specialist discipline. Card handling, fraud scoring, chargebacks, tax by jurisdiction, PCI scope, refunds, subscription state, failed payment recovery. Shopify, Square, Toast, and OpenTable each have teams on every one of those problems.
Anything we hand-rolled would be worse on day one and much worse in a year.
And unlike most of what we build, a payment flow that's 95% right is a liability with a nice typeface.
What we do instead
- Stores get built on Shopify. We design and build the storefront, the product pages, and the theme so it looks like your business. Shopify runs the checkout.
- Bookings, reservations, and ordering link out to the system you already run, and the link is tracked, so you still know which page produced the sale.
- Your CRM is wired in. Form submissions land in HubSpot, GoHighLevel, Salesforce, or whatever you use, with the source page attached.
- The site stays static, which means it can't go down on a Saturday night because a plugin updated itself.
The objection, answered
People worry that sending a customer to a checkout on another domain loses the sale. A buyer who's decided to buy will follow a change in the address bar. What puts them off is a checkout that feels improvised. Shopify's checkout usually converts better than anything hand-built, because it's built by people who do nothing else.
When you should hire someone else
If your business is a large catalog with thousands of SKUs, complex fulfillment, and a team running promotions every day, you need a dedicated commerce agency. We'll say so on the first call.
Not sure whether this is happening on your site?
We'll run the 5 checks on it and tell you, in plain English, whether or not you ever hire us.
