Authority, built around one photograph.
An auto and marine detailing studio a mile from the NASCAR race shops in Mooresville. The old site was a heavy WordPress build: a page builder on a stock theme on a plugin stack. The new one is 34 hand-built static pages and a single hero image doing most of the work.

Desktop and phone. The build is live. The shop's own domain moves over next; until then the old WordPress site still answers at that address, so the before and the after are both on the open internet.
The problem
A detailing shop that works on cars worth more than most houses was running WordPress with a page builder on top of a stock theme, on top of a plugin stack nobody had audited. It was slow, and it looked like a franchise. Everything was there and nothing was distinctive: a mega-menu, a stock garage photograph, and a four-across grid of services under the heading See What We Do:
Worse, and nobody had noticed: the site had been rendering in the wrong typeface for months. The brand face was installed and every browser was silently refusing it.
The clients were exotic. The website was a coupon.
What we did
- One image, chosen carefully. A GT3 RS in Shark Blue on a wet street at night, light trails streaking past. It carries the hero alone, with the headline set over it.
- Extended machined type. Eurostile Extended Black for the wordmark, with the locality picked out in brand blue. It's the instrument-cluster look, which fits a shop that works on race-adjacent cars.
- A repaired font file. We rebuilt the broken character map, verified full coverage, and shipped it self-hosted.
- 34 static pages. No WordPress, no page builder, no plugins. Services, areas served, and the process pages, all hand-built.
What came out of it
The visual system from this build was saved as a reusable skin, so the next client in a machined, industrial vertical starts from something proven instead of a blank page.
The shop also stopped paying for the machinery: a theme license, a page-builder subscription, and the plugins that keep them talking to each other. There's nothing here to renew.
